Hello!
My name is Yuli and I’m full time mama of two beautiful and busy boys, wife to an arhaeologist and crafter.
Like a lot of moms and wives I do a lot of cooking, cleaning, washing, driving, caring, listening, playing, loving and hugging;) It’s not always easy, but very rewarding! Love it and wouldn’t have it any other way!
I was born in beautiful city of Kiev, Ukraine. Have great childhood memories… running and playing with friends on the streets, walks in the forest, playing in the snow, fun trips to the circus and local food and craft markets and of course 3 months long summer holidays to my babushska’s village in Russia. Best times ever!!!
Since I was a little girl, I have been making stuff…first for my dolls and soft animals, then for me. I owe my creativity to my Papa, he always made stuff for me… skirt out of his old jeans, leather earing when I was teenager and lots of other great things. We didn’t have much variety at the shops in USSR times, so to be a little different you had to be creative!
Almost 10 years ago I moved to South Africa and we currently live in small coastal town…Enjoying quiet life… sun, sea, mountains… Very happy and grateful…
Few years ago I start making things to order for my friends, and it slowly grew into my little creative “job”. What an amazing opportunity to do what I love and still stay at home with my kids. Thank you!
Yuli handmade is my creative escape… Lovely things for kids and adults handmade with love… Here you will find things that I make and in future I plan to share with you my patterns and tutorials… And hopefully it will inspiare you to get creative… knit, crochet, sew, glue, cut and dream… what ever makes you happy.
