Fun with Food

Hello, hello…

I have been meaning to show you pictures of my recent project, but with school holidays and few orders in between there were not enough hours in my day.

So while boys playing Lego and waiting for weather to cool down that we can all go to the beach… I’m not going to miss this opportunity to write a quick post;)

I love crochet toys and softies … and one of my favorite things that I wanted to make for a long time is crochet food. Its just looks so pretty and realistic…yum yum and I can imagine how much fun & hours of play it would bring to kids.

I gathered all my DK colours; got some soft stuffing, needles … I began crochet farming!

What a great project…easy and my Fruit and Vegetable basket filled up in very short time. My boys loved to guess what I was going to make next…they were so excited!

My crochet harvest… its looks very healthy, don’t you think?

Great toys for kids, but  I’m also wouldn’t mind to have it in my kitchen;)

Enjoy your weekend.

Love, Yuli xxx

Knitted boots

Few months ago I looked  through UGG boots site, and I completely fell in love with knitted versions of UGGs. So I decided that I really really have to make myself a pair (original a bit expensive) and nothing bets new knitting challenge(:

I been googling, ravelring and stumbling in for a while… some I didn’t like, some didn’t have pattern, but I didn’t give up. Then on ravelry I found this beautiful slippers, exactly like I want, but pattern was in Japanese (even bigger challenge)… With help from lady from  ravelry forum and few hours staring at the pattern… I did it! They still need some improvement, but so far I’m happy with result. I manage to figure out how to attach proper sole, that I can wear them as a boots, not just a slippers.

So here is few photos….

Mmmm….. bags

Me always want to knit a bag, but couldn’t find right pattern. Then after searching on the web, I stumbled on one that I liked. So as soon as my urgent projects were finished, I went to my local wool shop. For this bag I bought lovely, soft and fluffy acrylic wool (we don’t have big choice of natural fiber): )

Pattern is quite simple, but need concentration, so no kids while knitting, please! More tricky part was lining, especially when you don’t have pattern. But must say, most of my sewing patternless, much more fun and challenge((: For the handle and button I crochet with 100% bamboo. When it was ready I really really love it. It was a keeper!

After a week of showing it of I got few orders! YAY! I was so busy with other orders so I asked  my mom in law to help me. She knitted them really quickly and I finished the rest. Thank you Shirley(:

I’ll post soon variety of colors that I can make them.

Price: R350
